Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated by Bárbara Santos Makeup Artist, a makeup artist based in the Algarve, Portugal. If you have any question about how your information is handled, write to barbara.santos.mua@gmail.com.
What this site collects
The only information collected is what you choose to type into the enquiry form. That is:
- Your name and e-mail address, which are required in order to reply to you.
- Your phone number and Instagram handle, if you choose to give them.
- Details about your event — the date, the time of the ceremony, the number of people needing makeup, the locations, and anything else you write in the message.
- Your preference for being contacted by e-mail or WhatsApp.
Nothing else is collected. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you.
Why it is collected, and on what basis
Your information is used for one purpose only: to answer your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to arrange the service. The lawful basis is your request — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
You will not be added to a mailing list, and your details will not be used for marketing unless you separately ask for that.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry is sent by e-mail and is read by Bárbara Santos. It is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing.
The website is hosted by a hosting provider, and enquiries are delivered through an e-mail provider. Those providers process the data only to deliver the service.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to two years, so that a returning enquiry can be answered in context, and then deleted.
Where a booking goes ahead, the records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use, or ask for it to be transferred elsewhere. Write to barbara.santos.mua@gmail.com and you will have a reply within one month.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google in order to download them; Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
